Cloth and towel properties and areas of use

Cloths and towels used in cleaning today must satisfy many different requirements because they are used in a wide variety of areas. Industrial cleaning cloths and towels must be much more robust than those used in for instance healthcare, where hygiene has greater priority. To achieve this, our cloths and towels have a wide variety of properties that are optimised to their purpose and can be flexibly adapted.

Features in detail:

Structure

The textile structure provides various various options for properties, such as the surface texture of the cloth or towel. It could very soft and suitable for polishing, or more robust and coarse to make it perfect for cleaning machinery. You can choose between: Coarse and robust, soft, textile-like, colour-classified, attractive price, boil-proof and washable, oil-absorbent, creped, low-lint, wringable, particularly soft, biodegradable, 100% natural, mesh reinforced, gentle on skin, smooth and embossed.

Composition

The composition produces the textile structure’s properties. Cleaning cloths made of polyester for instance are particularly resistant to tearing and are ideal for cleaning smooth surfaces, whereas cloths made of 100% viscose have an impressively high absorption capacity. • Viscose • Polyester • Cotton • Cellulose • Polypropylene • Synthetic fibres

Solvent resistance

If the towel or cloth is primarily used in fields in which cleaning solutions or care lotions are used, for example nursing or healthcare, the towel or cloth needs to be resistant to solvents. Depending on your needs, you can select between: • Largely solvent-resistant • Solvent-resistant

Abrasion resistance

In the fields of mechanical and optical engineering, a high degree of abrasion resistance is essential. These cloths and towels enable almost entirely residue-free cleaning and care of sensitive surfaces such as glass or stainless steel. • Abrasion-resistant • Particularly abrasion-resistant

Tear resistance

Tear resistance plays a particular roll when the cloth or towel is exposed to severe mechanical stresses during the cleaning process, for example with machine cleaning cloths or cleaning rags in workshops. • Tear-resistant • Particularly tear-resistant

Absorption speed/capability

Especially in industrial, building cleaning and also in healthcare, a high absorption speed is important to achieve the necessary effectiveness in cleaning. • Effective absorption • High absorption capability • Particularly high absorption capability • High absorption speed

Fields of use

You might not know exactly what properties your cloth or towel needs to provide, but you do know what field it is to be used in. Our cloths and towels are suitable for: • Industry • Construction • Automotive • Paints and printing • Building cleaning • Healthcare • Cosmetics • Optical engineering • Food & beverages • Fine mechanical engineering
